La seconda dev'essere stata una tappa abbastanza movimentata. Il gruppo s'è spezzato in due tronconi, con i battistrada (tra i quali Leipheimer, Armstrong, Brajkovic e Horner (Radioshack), Rogers (HTC-Columbia), Andy Schleck (Saxo Bank), Boom (Rabobank), Sagan (Liquigas), Zabriskie e Danielson (Garmin)) che hanno guadagnato 1'20'' sul resto del gruppo. California: colpo doppio di Brett Lancaster
L’australiano Brett Lancaster ha messo a segno il classico colpo doppio sulle strade del Giro della California. Il portacolori della CDervelo, infatti, ha vinto la seconda tappa (la Davis - Santa Rosa) e ha conquistato la maglia di leader della classifica generale. Da segnalare l’ennesima bella prova di Peter Sagan che si è piazzato secondo ed occupa l’identica posizione anche nella classifica generale. In pratica gli Shack,a quanto dice Brunello,hanno voluto forzare sull'ultimo Gpm per avere la possibilità di controllare meglio il finale.Cosi invece che tutto il gruppo,si sono ritrovati in 27 al comando,con gli uomini del Boss in netta supremazia.Pioggia torrenziale verso Santa Rosa.

Lancaster deve essere in ottima forma, di solito non regge nemmeno i cavalcavia. . -

Nella notte italiana,si disputa la terza tappa.
A questo sito (clicca) gli americani ci fanno vedere le salite di giornata.
Da quanto ho letto;
Partenza da San Francisco,per i primi 50 km si costeggia l'oceano,sulla carta possibilità di ventagli ma visto il finale difficoltoso dubito qualcuno possa provare qualcosa.
Rientro in "highway",poi primo GPM di giornata una salita di 11 km,Tunitas Creek Road.Parte iniziale e parte finale più che un falspiano ma i 5 km centrali hanno una pendenza media del 7,5%.
Discesa veloce e poi un altro Gpm,questo di terza cat.,sono 5 km al 6% ,sulla carta ci sarebbe anche un'altra salitella non segnalata come Gpm,ossia Pescadero Road,(4.4 km at 4.5%).Da qui altri 40 km lungo la costa Californiana.
Ai -34km,svolta a sinistra ed inizia l'ultimo Gpm,Bonny Doon Road.
I primi 3.2 km,hanno una media del 10%, con punte del 14%.I restanti 6.5 km sono decisamente più morbibi,tra il 4 ed 7%.
Dopodichè 24 km in picchiata e gli ultimi 5 in piano.
L'anno passato nelle seconda tappa proprio su quest'ultima salita si mosse Livai..

Potrebbe farlo anche quest'anno, vista la quasi assenza di grandi salite...però Sagan imho dovrebbe sopportare questa salita, se nessuno dovesse attaccare, sarebbe la sua tappa . -

gruppo a 2'40" ma ora stanno letteralmente volando e nel giro di qualche km,sotto l'impulso di Radioshack e Cervelo sarà compatto prima di Bonny Doon Road.
stasera ho deciso di far compagnia al nostro admin ed alle sue notti insonne.... -

Davanti si è formato il terzetto Rogers, Zabriskie e Leipheimer, con Levy che è davvero scatenato
Dietro ha provato a ricucire prima un Fly V e poi un Cervelo, con Armstrong sempre incollato a ruota di entrambi.. -

dietro gli altri Shack stoppano tutti i tentativi di inseguimento,stesso discorso per i Garmin,

i Cervelo sono 2 ed io continuo a vedere la faccia di Haussler ...magari sono allucinazioni.
