    Campionati nazionali: sorprende lo "0" della Columbia
    C'è un dato che sorprende, alla lettura di tutti i nuovi campioni nazionali della strada: non c'è nessun atleta della Columbia High Road. Lungi da noi il voler procedere con un'analisi tecnica (per farlo, sarebbe necessario aver segtuito da vicino tutte le gare nelle quali erano impegnati gli atleti del team statunitense), ma è singolare che il club più vincente della stagione - giunto alla soglia delle cinquanta (!) vittorie grazie a 4 titoli nazionali a cronometro - abbia fatto segnare un inatteso "0" alla voce titoli nazionali conquistati. Forse perché vogliono firmare al Tour la vittoria numero 50?

    Stef Clement ha vinto il campionato olandese a cronometro disputatosi oggi… e valevole anche come campionato sociale della Rabobank, visto che i primi sette arrivati ed il nono appartengono tutti al team olandese di ProTour.

    Gli unici che potevano impensierirlo erano Leipheimer e Vandevelde, ma per un motivo o per un altro (infortunio il primo, riposo? il secondo) ieri non c'erano... ti piace vincere facile?! :asd:

    Intanto oggi la prova in linea se l'è aggiudicata l'eterno George Hincapie (Columbia-HTC).

    George Hincapie per la terza volta in carriera campione USA
    George Hincapie (Columbia) ha vinto per la terza volta in carriera il titolo nazionale statunitense di ciclismo su strada. A Greenville (Carolina del Sud) Hincapie si e' imposto allo sprint davanti a Andrew Bajadali e Jeff Louder. Hincapie, che risiede nella cittadina di Greenville, aveva gia' vinto il titolo nel 1998 e nel 2006.
