Vallonia: la prima tappa è di Tom Boonen
Tom Boonen ha iniziato alla grande il Giro della Regione Vallone. Nella Tubize - Soignies di 145.4 km, il velocista della Quick Step ha battuto il giovane Greg Van Avermaet della Silence Lotto. Al terzo posto si è piazzato il lituano Vaitkus della Astana. Ovviamente Boonen ha indossato anche la maglia di leader della classifica generale.
